FORT WILLIAM, SKYE and the Jacobite Steam Train - 5 DAY TOUR

Fort William, nestling close to the foot of Scotland’s famous landmark, Ben Nevis, lies within easy reach of some of the finest scenery in this stunning area of mountains, glens, lochs and rivers. This tour allows a visit to one of the famous islands – the Misty Isle, Skye. The southern end of the island is a profusion of green pastures set against the backdrop of high mountain tops. The central area, dominated by the Cuillin mountain range, is the wildest, most desolate area of the island whilst further north is the spectacular coastal scenery and the mountainous cliffs of the Vaternish Peninsula. On tours between June and September we include travel on the Jacobite Steam Train. Beginning in Fort William the journey takes us through breathtaking mountain scenery, across the 21 arches of the Glenfinnan Viaduct and past white sandy beaches and the blue waters of the sea till we reach the busy fishing town of Mallaig. Our April departure features a day tour to Oban gateway to the Western Isles. The hotels and shops line the waterfront and provide a charming, relaxed atmosphere.
