Remembrance Day at the National Memorial Arbotetum
Based at the Novotel, Nottingham for two nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, this short break will allow you to visit the National Memorial Arboretum on Sunday 11/11/12. Visitors will be able to view, on a large screen outside the visitor centre, the broadcast of the Memorial Service.
From its earliest beginnings The National Memorial Arboretum was seen as a place of tranquillity, reflection and remembrance to people of every faith or none.
This is a special place that remembers those who have served, and continue to serve, our nation in many differing ways. With some 50,000 trees already planted and over 200 dedicated memorials established on the site, the Arboretum is a living tribute that will forever acknowledge the personal sacrifices made by the armed and civil services of this country.
You may take wish to take the land train and enjoy a 20 minute guided tour that covers the main paths and memorial areas.
